I completed a year long internship at digital agency Winning Media who specialise in UX, brand identity and visual communication. Across the year I worked in tandem with visual design director on three primary projects; The Menopause CentreSinnamon Park Medical Centre and Cellar Tags.
I primarily focused on market and competitor research, brand strategies and identities, website design and social strategies. This experience was invaluable in gaining industry knowledge and how it functions on a larger scale.

1 year
I co-founded Ellie Iris Design in 2020 with my sister where we originally specialised in brand identities and print illustrations which transitioned in 2021 into a creative studio developing full branded stay packages for Airbnb rentals.
This opportunity developed my business knowledge and insight into back end logistics which strengthened my appreciation and respect for business procedures.

general work experience

McDonalds
2015 - 2018
3 years
As a crew member working on front counter and drive through services I mastered skills in customer service, working under pressure, team work and professionalism. The high intense environment during rush periods and continues work taught me valuable lessons in adapting to stressful situations, quick problem solving and patience.
While taking someone's large cheeseburger order may seem trivial, I believe my three years at McDonalds exposed me to many situations where I developed important skills for future work and personal development.

Wooden Horse Restaurant
2019 - 2020
1 year
I took my skills developed at McDonalds to a more elegant, refined and formal restaurant industry where I worked as a hostess and server. I was responsible for taking orders, relaying information, seating customers, booking organisation and customer satisfaction.
This role enhanced my communication skills, memory retention, professional attitude and organisation. My approachable and cheer-full nature made customers feel welcomed and satisfied when interacting with me in conversation.

Bare Naked Bowls
2020 - current
2 years
I worked as a weekday store supervisor responsible for overseeing the stores daily operations, motivating and training staff, developing promotional material and creating business strategies . I achieved this position by displaying excellent customer service, work dedication and independence as a barista and cook.
My experience in this position has been invaluable for professional growth and the ability to demonstrate leadership, organisation and responsibility. Additionally, due to peoples' behaviour of getting their "morning coffee fix" I have been lucky to nurture long term relationships with regulars and practice the art of conversation. This is important practice for future client relationships, networking and empathy.
